Deadline
3rd April 2015
Category of entry and/or media format required
I have chosen to go for Online Advertising. For Broadcast/Media/Interactive entries we can accept many of the standard formats, including all those created by QuickTime, Windows Media, Real Audio, and Adobe Media Encoder. File extensions include: .mov, .wav, .wmv, .wma, .avi, .asf, .mid, .aif, .mpg, .mp2, .mp3, .mp4, .m4v, .mpe, .m4A, .swf, .f4v, etc. All judging will be done online so all entries should be uploaded if at all possible. Uploaded campaigns may be in separate files names 1of3, 2of3, etc.
Campaigns submitted as one file can be edited together in one file with three seconds of black between each campaign piece. Computer-based formats such as QuickTime and Flash should have a maximum screen size of 1024 (h) x 768 (v).
Instructions or limitations

An advertisement that is embedded into a website. The ad itself links to the advertiser's website – or landing page. The intent is for visitors to click on the ad and go to the advertiser's page. Ads often use animation to help draw attention to the ad. Would include any kind of branded content.
Creative briefs are not required but highly recommended. Anything that helps the judge understand the entry or have contextual reference is encouraged.
One of the winners for the 41st annual awards created a banner which had animation on which allowed the user to buy tickets.
The winner of the ‘Online Advertising’ section in the 42nd annual awards created a video, which was in black and white but was definitely not as complex as the 44th annual awards.
The student who won the 44th annual awards created a video about Google occupy street. It is all high tech and about surveillance. It interesting keeping the user entertained.
All of the information above shows how it can either be in the form of a banner or it could be as a video piece that tells a narrative.

Your Entry

What you will produce

I will produce three banners, which will all link in together, depending on how much am able to learn in the 40 hours. I will have user interaction, which will attract the user. I will be using Benefit make up and base my work around that.
Size, duration or extent
The size of the banner will be 336 x 280 and the animation will last as long as the user wants to keep on drawing.
Submission format
I will submit it as a swf so it can be viewed on the internet.
How will your entry be seen/used/ displayed?
My entry will be seen online, this way it will take you to the corresponding page by simply clicking on the button that will take the user to the corresponding benefit page.
Target audience for your entry.
My target audience will be for teenagers and adults as benefit have a wide range of different age audiences.

Brief description of your initial concept

I will create three banners which all link together however will include different lip balms allowing the user to draw the balms on to the face. If possible I would like to include it all in to one banner, however if not I will put them in to three different banners.

I will use the internet to learn how to use new programmes and everything I cant find on the internet via YouTube and Google I will look in to books to see whether I can find anything there.
I have looked in to what the winners have created in the past and this has given me a little inspiration that will hopefully help me create a perfect advertising piece.
